DN Legal is a legal firm dedicated to providing bespoke legal services tailored to the client’s individual needs.
DN Legal was established in July of 2014 by Ms. Dao Nguyen. Having managed and helped build law practices in Vietnam for two international firms as managing partner, Dao decided to set up on her own so that she can provide personal attention to only a number of key clients. In order to achieve this, DN Legal’s approach is a tailored and personal legal service.
All work taken on by the firm will be personally handled by Dao. The firm work with clients who require commercial and innovative solutions and structures to build their businesses in Vietnam.
Founder Dao Nguyen’s specialist practice areas include corporate and M&A, banking and finance, real estate, energy and infrastructure. She has acted for developers and the government of Vietnam on several landmark projects including the first licensed BOT project in Vietnam and is fluent in English and Vietnamese, allowing her to work internationally for her clients.
Alongside her strong and experienced team Dao advises in all aspects of corporate, M&A, investment, contract, commercial, banking, financial, real estate, tax, energy and infrastructure, capital markets, securities, tax and dispute resolution in Vietnam.
The firm has experience working in cases with Vietnamese and multi-national businesses conducting business in Vietnam. With regards to the banking and finance sectors the firm advises Vietnamese and foreign banks, borrowers and other clients on all aspects of banking and finance in the Asia Pacific region, including structuring, negotiating and documenting transactions that involve bank lending, project finance, acquisition financing and interest or currency swaps among other domestic regulatory topics.
DN Legal also works in the corporate and M&A areas, representing purchasers, sellers, advisors, lenders and financial intermediaries in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and divestments.
Alongside this, the firm provides comprehensive dispute resolution services for domestic and international clients. The team has extensive expertise and experience in all practice areas and industry sectors, representing clients in both the English and Vietnamese languages.
Within the real estate sector, DN Legal provides clients with legal advice relating to the financing, construction, development, ownership, management, and operation of real estate, resort and hotel-related assets. The team has experience representing a wide variety of clients in this area including institutional lenders, developers, owners and investors in connection with their real estate-related activities. They have also advised project owners and developers on the preparation and negotiation of documentation related to transfer of land and houses, land rental and land acquisition, and lease of premises.
Finally, the firm also provides clients with the latest in commercially viable legal advice and supports its clients with innovative solutions to those needing to navigate these complex industries in Vietnam. DN Legal has advised numerous clients on oil and gas, power generation, as well as mining projects and transactions within Vietnam, and elsewhere in the region.
