Steven Zielinski, SZ Law founder took some time away from work to share his insights into what it is that his firm does, that puts it at the head of the pack. Clients want to solve problems and get things done. SZ Law aims to think big and make it work and make it happen for the client as if their business were its own business. To achieve this, SZ Law carefully watches, listens and learns all in the effort to better understand clients and their markets, keeping an open mind, then tailors and innovates in close collaboration with its clients. There are major shifts and challenges in the industry but the basics remain the same: know your stuff, look after your clients, do a good job and add value. The pursuit of technical excellence, dedication to clients and client business objectives, and cultural and commercial awareness are the drivers at SZ Law. The benchmarks are client satisfaction and objective results. SZ Law then strives for continuous improvement and development in all areas. Increased commoditisation is often cited as a threat. However, for the streamlined and agile practice, it represents, like the IT developments of recent decades, an opportunity to leverage off higher platforms. It improves efficiency and highlights the value of high level human judgment in a legal and commercial context and the power of this to develop and create new opportunities for the client. Bigger challenges are to remain abreast of commercial, political and legislative developments in an increas- ingly fast moving world and to maximise international opportunities. With their flexibility and sophistication, English law and the English legal system are extremely well placed to respond to both. SZ Law always has a range of ambitious and exciting projects in the pipeline and looks forward to realising these and developing more.
