As one of the largest and most respected plastic surgery practices in Texas, with a roster of surgeons sought after for their expertise and abilities, an in- house research center, a unique collaborative approach of blending artistry with surgical precision to every patient, ACPS is able to offer its clients the very highest standards of support and care, ensuring that they feel confident in their decision and have a satisfactory outcome. The reception area for patients at the ACPS resembles a comfortable living room with ample seating space. Patients can check in with the friendly front desk staff and complete any needed paperwork for their appointment. While they wait for their appointment, the office provides patients with refreshments (water bottles, coffee), a big screen TV, snacks, and general reading material. Patients may also want to browse through some of the center’s educational materials to help them prepare for their appointment, including brochures on some of our latest treatments. The dedicated staff are also on hand to answer any questions patients may have before their appointment. To help patients understand the potential results of their treatment, Dr. Mentz uses computer imaging to better communicate with patients about their ideas. The consultation rooms also include educational materials for the patient to read on their own or to help Dr. Mentz explain a procedure. A changing area is also included with the consultation rooms to allow Dr. Mentz to perform physical examinations during the consultations which will give him a better idea of the client’s concerns and help them to choose their best options. To make treatments convenient for his patients, Dr. Mentz maintains a well-equipped minor procedures room so patients can have certain nonsurgical treatments in the comfort of his office. In some cases, patients may be able to have their treatment in the minor procedures room the same day as their consultation. The minor procedures room includes the laser systems, including the Clear + Brilliant and Fraxel Dual lasers for laser skin resurfacing, CoolSculpting for nonsurgical fat reduction with cryopolis, the ThermiRF system with ThermiTight and ThermiVa for skin tightening, the Syneron Candela for laser hair removal, and the equipment for an IPL photofacial. Treatments in the minor procedures room may also be surgical if the patient only needs local anesthesia, such as an upper eyelid lift.
