Alongside its work in Kenya, where it is based, the company has executed numerous turnkey projects for other leading organizations in the pan-African region spanning from Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, Algeria, Madagascar, Rwanda, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Angola, Somali, Ghana and Ethiopia. Salome explores how she supports her clients in these projects across Africa and drives Linksoft to success through her role as CFO. “As the Chief Finance Officer for Linksoft, I have the overall responsibility of providing leadership within the organization on matters financial from strategy formulation, budgeting and planning, treasury, financial management, soliciting for funding, taxation and regulatory compliance, reporting, risk management and ensuring the overall financial performance of the organization within the set strategic deliverables. I am also responsible of providing leadership within the organization of the shared services function that has departments such as Human Resource, ICT, Legal, Health and Safety and Risk and Audit.” Looking to the future, there are exciting developments ahead for Salome, as she proudly concludes. “Recently, I have been undertaking extensive research on the nexus between the pace of evolution in technology, its risks as different sectors get disrupted and the ability of available energy especially storage capacity to sustain the pace of digitization and would like to pursue this into a Doctorate Degree in this fascinating subject. One of the sectors facing a great amount of disruption being finance and especially retail banking, and as such I will be utilising my newfound insight and knowledge to further support Linksoft.
