This prestigious award recognizes some of the most renowned and innovative professionals from around the world, who guide entrepreneurs and shape the entrepreneurial ecosystems wherever they operate. Since their inception, The Entrepreneur Law Center, PL has provided legal and advisory services to entrepreneurs, start-ups, high-growth companies and business clients for more than ten years. The firm focuses on entrepreneurial companies and their success, providing not only transactional services such as those related to contracts, transactions, business entity selection, formation, and mergers and acquisitions, but also ongoing outsourced general counsel services. “I pride myself on developing long-term relationships with clients and have provided ongoing advisory services to some clients for decades. What distinguishes my firm is the degree to which I invest in a habit of continuous learning, and the development of additional skill sets to provide a wide range of services to clients,” said Kenneth Hamner, the firm’s Managing Member. To this end, Ken is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor, Master Analyst in Financial Forensics, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Business Intermediary, and is licensed as a Real Estate Broker in Florida. Ken also holds Series 82 Limited Representative – Private Securities Offering Representative and Series 63 securities agent licenses, although these licenses are inactive, which allows him more flexibility to hold equity in start- up and entrepreneurial companies and serve more actively as on officer and director of these clients. For instance, he holds equity in and serves as General Counsel for several ventures, including International Entrepreneurship Innovation Institute, LLC, a firm developing innovative virtual graduate entrepreneurship education programs, MyVentureResource, a start-up IT platform company connecting entrepreneurs with the resources they need to launch and grow their ventures, Authentek IOM, LLC, a service-disabled veteran small business surgical neuromonitoring company, and Fountain Technologies International, LLC, an entity holding and licensing intellectual property, including a portfolio of nanotechnology patents. A Aug19218 Ken also serves on the faculty at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business and Center for Entrepreneurship, where he teaches graduate courses in business plan development, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property. These courses are offered to both masters and doctoral students in a wide variety of programs in entrepreneurship, business, engineering, global sustainability, and medicine. The University of South Florida’s Master of Science in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies program is perennially ranked by the Princeton Review among the top ten graduate entrepreneurship programs. As a faculty member, he also helps plan and judge business plan competitions and serves as a guest lecturer in other courses in venture capital, private equity and exit planning. At his office on campus at the USF Connect Research Park and Tampa Bay Technology Incubator, Ken serves as a mentor to many start- ups in a wide variety of industries. Dr. Michael Fountain, the Director for the University of South Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship endorsed Ken by saying, “for the past five years, he has been a key member of our faculty.
