We invited Cassio Moura to tell us more about how he has helped drive the firm to the success it enjoys today. Supporting the firm’s Latin America division is CFO Cassio Moura. He draws on vast industry experience which he is keen to discuss in more detail. Prior to my role at Logicalis I had a varied career which I draw on at all times to support my current firm. I could experiment financial institutions, agrochemicals, consumer goods, pharma and now the technology segment. This combined with several financial areas I could work in, has certainly helped to better understand all aspects of a CFO role as well as understand the processes implication in finance and in the businesses. “During my 10 years at Gillette/P&G, I had the opportunity to work in several areas as well as being part of regional and global L organizations. Therefore, besides understanding the business, I could be involved in different cultures and seeing the different sides of an organization - local operations vs headquarters. It really helped me, to fully understand how to be less demanding on local markets, while still having proper visibility of the local entities, building therefore a lean and effective operation. “In addition, being part of a global implementation team for Sarbanes Oxley gave me the necessary knowledge of processes and governance to complete the overall experience. I believe this background helped me enjoy being part of Logicalis, and provided me the confidence to deal with all challenges I had here over the years. I have been at Logicalis for almost 11 years, and these have become another portion of my CFO history that helped me grow as a professional, but also to make me grateful for being part of such nice history this company is making in Latin America, as I joined the company on its first days of the joint venture creation back then.” Today, Cassio has flourished into a key part of the Logicalis team. As a business leader he is responsible for driving his team to success, and he achieves this through a collaborative approach, as he highlights. “As a leader I like to work closely with my team, and get their point of view, as well as being close to people and be a promoter of the company’s strategy. Alongside this, I consider important to set company’s and individual targets aligned with the strategy, making it permeate into the organization in a way everyone moves in line with company`s strategy. I am quite open to hear, and also very receptive to ideas. This way I try not only to understand what is happening down below, but to give opportunity to give visibility to the ones who bought the company’s view.” “Developing people is also key to make sure the staff grow together with the company, therefore harvesting talents aligned with the company’s strategy.
