His academic success continued at the University of Michigan where he gained his Master of Laws degree. Between this period of his life and starting his own law firm, Mr. Poblador spent many years at the forefront of the Philippian legal sector. He took up a role as Professorial Lecturer in Criminal Law at the College of Law, University of the Philippines and was the Bar Examiner in Criminal Law in the 1986 Bar Examinations. He served as chapter director of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines from 1988 to 1989. When the firm opened its doors in 1994, it was a partnership of three experienced legal professionals.
