14 Acquisition International - 2021 Non-Profit Organisations Awards May21096 Best IP Networking & Development Organisation 2021 Launched in 2008 with 67 members, KINPA (Korean Intellectual Property Association) is an association of intellectual property in-house experts in Korean companies, with the mission of promoting the growth and development of its approx. 200 member companies by exchanging corporate intellectual property management strategies and operational know-how. he association’s core values and goals contribute to the prosperity and development of mankind through technological progress aimed at the nation and society by enhancing the competitiveness of member companies’ intellectual property and leading technological innovation. These core values have been consistently and firmly respected since the foundation of the association and are expected to be strengthened in the future. KINPA has held forums and seminars of global experts to understand the rapidly changing technological innovation paradigm, and has actively discovered and proposed policy agendas for the improvement of the Korean and global intellectual property systems in the intellectual property sector. It is important that the executives and employees of KINPA have the qualifications to support these tasks. In particular, in addition to intellectual property and technology, they must have a conscientious thinking and perspective by possessing humanities literacy. The association has maintained a work culture that values openness and transparency, and especially respects self- directed business planning ability. This work tradition is evaluated as the foundation of the association’s development. T development of small business members, it can contribute to the development of society and the country in a broader sense. 2021 is the first year of overcoming COVID-19, restoring daily life, and opening new horizons for technological innovation. During this transition period, KINPA plans to identify and materialise a macro agenda that intellectual property experts of companies should pay attention to and focus on in the future.
