It is a very connected team where everyone unites in order to make a difference, combined with a very friendly culture and everyone being happy to help each other out. Even outside of the foundation’s efforts, each member of the Good Intentions team is still friends and they work with each other towards other non-profit efforts as well. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, Good Intentions Foundation was able to adapt to current issues from the very start. Its first ever initiative was a Christmas-giving project led by founder and CEO, Pranav Giridhar, where winter clothing items were collected from several local communities and the proceeds were donated to Good Shepherd’s Alliance and Mobile Hope for homeless families. Although the foundation was launched in 2020 to respond to issues that existed prior to the pandemic, it is the pandemic that made these issues ten-times worse, with millions of children suffering from insufficient education due to the pandemic, which led to Pranav wanting to help out even more. Pranav feels fortunate to have received a good education while growing up, and when he realised that not all children are able to enjoy the same education, he decided to do something about it, advocating for quality education for underprivileged kids. Speaking about the inspiration behind Good Intentions Foundation and volunteering, Pranav said, “I never had to worry about whether I had to hop on a bus or walk two miles to school, and the more I read about the issues some children face and how that adversity results in lack of education, that hit me and made me want to help in any way I can. It’s a blessing to have an education, and I wanted to help provide that blessing to other children, particularly underprivileged children.” He continued, “Volunteering gives you a sense of humility and lets you be more aware of issues people around the world are facing. You may just feel like your contribution is just a drop in the ocean, but that assistance could make someone else’s life a lot easier. As a volunteer, you can provide resources for people who may not be able to provide for themselves.” In addition to his efforts with Good Intentions Foundation, Pranav is the founder of Startupper, a media company acquired by NovaCrypt. G Launched in September 2020 by 14 year old entrepreneur and philanthropist, Pranav Giridhar, Good Intentions Foundation is an international non-profit organisation which focuses on educational and environmental issues. It strives to provide an impactful education to children from underprivileged areas around the world, and its work is deeply impacted by the fact that everyone within the organisation received an excellent education, making them want to replicate the same for others who don’t have the same access. The next exciting project for Good Intentions Foundation is the launch of its EduFirst app, an education initiative to help students succeed at no cost. It takes students who are experiencing problems at school and connects them to a tutor who is qualified enough to solve their problems. Led by Pranav, the initiative now has over 10 international partners and a complete team of volunteer engineers to help launch the app. EduFirst is currently active in the United States and the Philippines. Alongside this, the foundation is aiming to reach 100,000 children by 2023 so that each of them can be provided with an impactful education.
