Business Excellence Awards 2020
22 Acquisition International - 2020 Business Excellence Awards ounded in 2003, Supreme Protective Coatings Ltd are a leading supplier of advanced vehicle paint and interior protection products serving clients across the UK. To start, Mark gives us a brief overview of the firm and the type of clients with whom they typically work with. “Currently we offer our products through three manufacturer backed schemes, Renault, Suzuki and Knaus. Priding ourselves on being a cut above the others, we are committed to leading innovation in R&D to ensure our clients are given the finest protection possible. Lifeproof Vision, our flagship product is a safety product designed to make driving in wet weather significantly safer and this of course is a huge passion of ours.” Possessing over 20 years of experience and knowledge has been key to Supreme establishing themselves as a leader in vehicle paint protection. However, as Mark goes on to explain it’s important you have a business strategy in place in order for a business to perform effectively. “Our ongoing strategy is to continue creating firstly, a fantastic place for people to work. Purpose, Culture and values are what drives us and understanding your people are the greatest asset a business can have is absolutely vital to any strategy. With our fantastic people, we continually look at the market to ensure our products will still be relevant and appropriate given the rapid rate of change in the industry today. Continually developing products to be of higher quality and longer lasting, making driving safer is core to our strategy. Strategy should be defined by the entire team so that every single team member is aware of our vision and what his or her part is to play.” Adding value to a business is of the upmost importance for Supreme when undertaking a new project with a client. As Mark explains further maintaining the integrity of the business, stands above any competition. “Upon identifying a new client or opportunity, our thoughts are first entered around how can we add value to their business, not how can we sell a product. We very much subscribe to the relationship driven and partnership model whereby we create a win/win scenario for all involved and most importantly the end user or customer.” Currently, the automotive industry is in a great state of flux, with electric vehicles and alternative power vehicles being the main change. However, in the coming years, Mark expects vehicle ownership to change with more people not wanting to own the assets. “The total useable time for a car you own is only 5%, this we believe will start to push people towards not wanting to own the assets but to lease a vehicle for the time they need it and appropriate for the activities at a specific time.” Based in Sheffield, Supreme Protective Coatings Ltd are a leading supplier of automotive paint and glass protection products.
