Our firm was established in 2003 by Samea Maakrum in Sydney, Australia. Nicola Davis and her team at Get You Seen (the UK distributor), heads up the UK and the rest of European Market for Sasy n Savy. On winning of the Most Outstanding for Natural Skincare Wellbeing Products award, it feels great! It’s lovely to be recognised for something we’ve worked so hard at building and spreading. Sasy n Savy is proud to be an ethical brand that works closely with the farmers to hand select the ingredients, so it’s nice to be recognised for that - especially being independently owned! It’s amazing to hear people believing in Sasy n Savy and our ethos, even though we are brand new to the UK. We’ve won many awards over the years, but the ones that have been publicly nominated/ voted for, are the ones that makes what we’re doing worthwhile. Our products are organically sourced in Australia, and unlike other companies, we can trace all of our ingredients through each stage of the supply chain. We can completely and confidently guarantee the quality of our products; from the Australian outback to the point of sale, we are involved in every stage of production. By combining the healing and nutritional benefits of Australian plant extracts and natural ingredients alongside the advances of science, we’re able to create products that are safe, effective and gentle. In terms of how the business is faring, it is definitely growing. We have won over 17 National and International business awards, and are stocked by some of the world’s leading retail department stores, airlines, duty free, hotels, resorts and spas around the world. We also now trade in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, the EU and the USA. Most recently, we were nominated as best organic product at the CEW awards; the top beauty awards. Our client base is the modern woman; all of our products are natural and ethically sourced. This is becoming more of a concern with consumers. People aren’t satisfied with cheap synthetic products, and they shouldn’t be! Our products are for women who want natural luxury at affordable prices, but most importantly, they want to feel empowered. Sasy n Savy’s clients say that we’re a brand that they can depend on! Between them, they have a combination of over 30 years’ experience in the beauty industry, from PR, distribution and sales they have certainly been instrumental in the expansion of Sasy n Savy in the UK and Europe. Regarding our hopes and plans for 2017 and beyond, since we’ve managed to crack’ Asia, Australia and Middle East, and now that we’ve teamed up with Get You Seen, together, we hope to concur the UK ethical beauty market. We want our brand and our message to be instantly recognisable to people, and for our products to be widely available in stores to our UK customers. Finally, more companies today are responding to corporate social responsibility and using ethically sourced and sustainable products in the manufacturing of their cosmetics and skincare, so in that sense we are competing with more companies with a similar product. Our strengths lie in that we have complete control over our supply chain, and we know the story of each of our products from field to bottle and we offer our luxury products at affordable prices.
