208 Acquisition International - Global Excellence 2019 Acquisition International - Issue 9 2019 45 Jul19117 Making A Difference Jaymie Scotto & Associates (JSA) is one of the first public relations, marketing, and event planning firm to specialize in the tech and telecom industries. Recently, we profiled the firm and caught up with CEO and Founder, Jaymie Scotto Cutaia who provided us with a detailed glimpse into the inner workings of the successful company. ince its inception in 2005, JSA has offered its clients a robust suite of services which amplify messaging, build brand awareness and recognition, as well as offer a cohesive, soup- to-nuts strategy that align business development initiatives with outbound and inbound marketing campaigns. Today, with vast experience in the space, JSA leverages its relationships with clients, partners and industry decision makers and influencers to educate the industry and drive actionable change. Going into further detail, Jaymie begins by informing us more about the areas JSA specializes within and the various companies they represent. “Here at JSA, we are a very niche PR, marketing and event planning company that represents telecom operators, data center companies, and tech firms that collectively power the internet. We specialize in communicating the business value of highly complex technological offerings to non-technical, mainstream audiences.” Enabling the firm to provide this award-winning, personalized service, is the dynamic, highly motived and experienced team working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that JSA is one of the leading lights of their respected industry. When discussing the internal culture, Jaymie is keen to highlight the significant role the team play in the overall success of the firm. “JSA’s success boils down to one core differentiator: our team. We dedicate three or four talented team members to each of our clients. Then we divide and conquer tasks, based on respective strong suits and empower our team with state-of-the-art technology, thereby delivering real value to our clients. It’s our clients’ success that defines our own success.” “I am proud to say that JSA is a family and each employee brings their unique talents and perspective to the table,” Jaymie continues. “We rely on our team to serve as an extension of our clients’ marketing teams to deliver strong, cohesive strategy that align with business objectives. To do this successfully, it’s imperative that each and every one of our interactions - with our clients and each other - is valuable and productive.” As for what the future holds for the firm, JSA has many exciting projects which lie in the pipeline for the team. From expansion to sharpening their skills, the future looks bright for JSA, as they continue their already successful journey to the top. “2019 has been a very exciting year for JSA and with our fifteenth anniversary approaching, we have plans to make an even stronger impact within the community. So far, we have made great strides building our clients - and, in return, building their trust in us - across S North America; now, we are ready to expand into the global market. JSA already has a presence in Europe and Latin America, but we want to make more of an impact and offer our unique services and industry perspective at a larger scale.” “This means continued investment in our people and processes, taking a more active role in global events, and further sharpening our skill-set to better compete against larger firms in Europe and beyond, and ultimately to drive the same, results-driven impact globally that our current clients enjoy.” With the business booming, there are a few challenges that the team at JSA face within their respected sector, with the main one being attracting women and younger talent to a predominantly male and aging telecom industry. Jaymie signs off by highlighting the ways in which the team at JSA will overcome these challenges, noting how they hope their latest project, Women’s Speaking Initiative (WSI), will encourage more women to speak at high-profile industry events. “In order to encourage more women to speak at industry events and roundtables, we actively encourage women to provide their profiles and preferred speaking topics, so we can then distribute their resumes quarterly to industry producers for consideration. Ultimately, we hope that this quarterly process yields more women speakers and diverse perspectives promoted and heard within our industry.” “As for encouraging younger generations to the telecom ecosystem, we will continue to engage with both educators and industry C-levels to better understand the needs of the space, promoting our industry news and growth, and encouraging fresh perspectives and diverse leadership, at our events, virtual roundtables and within the community. It goes back to our core belief here at JSA that together we can make a difference.” Contact: Jaymie Scotto Cutaia Web Address: www.jsa.net Jul19117
