88 Acquisition International - Global Excellence 2019 36 Issue 3 2019 Feb19519 ince their inception 21 years ago, OMS has grown into a leading Consultancy and Training provider with national coverage, providing Health and Safety, Human Resources and management systems support, advice and training. OMS has developed a one-stop-shop approach to serving their clients and has built up a network of trusted partners to extend both their geographical reach and range of offerings. This philosophy allows their customers to trust OMS to source, deliver and manage the full range of their training needs. In addition to this, the firm’s offerings are moulded around the customer’s needs and range from a full outsourced service, specific one-off projects to providing independent reviews on their level of compliance. Clive begins by going into further detail about OMS and the diverse range of clients which they serve. “Here at OMS, we spend quality time listening to our customers, establishing their needs to ensure that what we do adds value to their business. We try and make it easy for people to do business with us, and our growth has been facilitated by excellent customer retention record. Another attributing factor is the design and delivery of bespoke training courses for our clients, where required. “Our clients range from small SMEs through to multi-national companies such as Amazon, Molson Coors, Legal & General, AIG, Crawford & Company, Qualcomm, Triumph Motor Cycles and Premier Foods. Each client has different needs and that is why it is important to understand them and ensure that our offering reflect these.” Much of their business is obtained through referrals from other clients. Such positive feedback is a testimony to the bespoke service, tireless efforts, exceptional expertise and the abilities of the team at OMS. Working behind the scenes to ensure that deadlines are met, and goals are achieved is the dedicated, passionate team of talented individuals who form the backbone of OMS. When discussing the OMS specialises in compliance consultancy and training. Recently, the firm found success in AI’s Global Excellence Awards 2019 as the Best HR & Compliance Training Consultancy 2019 – UK. On the back of this win, we profiled the firm and caught up with Managing Director, Clive Ormerod who provided us with a detailed insight into the exceptional services the team delivers to their clients. Guiding the Way S internal culture, Clive is delighted to highlight the significant role the team play in the overall success of the award-winning firm. “The most important asset OMS has is its people. We invest in our people and because of this have built up a dedicated, capable team who between them have a vast range of knowledge and experience that can be utilised effectively to deliver our client’s needs and will go the extra mile to deliver.” Looking ahead to what the future holds for the firm, Clive signs off by revealing one of the plans which lie in the pipeline for the team at OMS and how the business is excited to grow despite the uncertainty of Brexit. “2019 is going to be a challenging year for many UK businesses with the uncertainty of the outcome of Brexit. However, on a positive note, the UK is performing better than many of the other European countries and most of the UK health and safety legislation should not change, as although much of it was driven by European Directives, they were enshrined in UK legislation. “Moving forward, we have projected growth for OMS throughout 2019 by focusing on continuous improvements and refining our offerings, ensuring that we continue to provide a valued service to our clients.” Company: OMS Web Address: www.oms.uk.com “...the UK is performing better than many of the other European countries and most of the UK health and safety legislation should not change, as although much of it was driven by European Directives, they were enshrined in UK legislation.” Feb19519
