Following their success in AI’s Global Excellence Awards 2019, we profiled the firm and caught up with Steve Wilson who provided us with a detailed overview about the award-winning services they provide. ince their inception in 2006, First Aid Associates has drawn on the experience and skills of fully qualified Trainers and Assessors in the field of First Aid to provide training services as well as first aid cover for small events. Steve begins by informing us of the areas the firm specialises within, highlighting how the team at First Aid Associates provide training catered to any event, regardless of the size. “Here at First Aid Associates, we teach a variety of courses from a 2 hour Basic Life Support through to the three day First Aid at Work, but also more advanced Trauma Courses and Medical Gases. In addition to this, we also provide first aid cover for small events ranging from small music festivals to street fairs, short 10k runs to ultra-marathons.” Providing event cover means we not only provide excellent care in the event of injury or illness, but it also means we practice what we preach and it enhances teaching by being able to use real life examples of dealing with patients. Many of the clients the firm serves come from a diverse range of backgrounds which include large construction firms, primary and secondary schools, GP surgeries, small offices, community groups, to name but a few.
