From here, he embarked on an educational journey of discovery in the medical field, gaining many accolades and qualifications along the way. He got the PhD in Veterinary (2004) and the International PhD in Medicine (2014) at the University of Córdoba (Spain), both PhDs with the best qualification ‘cum laude’. He was the Medical Director (20052008) at a pharmaceutical laboratory (Laboratorios Pérez Giménez, Córdoba, Spain). He got four certificates on National Personal Trainer of Bodybuilding and Fitness (2002 from the Spanish Association of Bodybuilding and Fitness, AEF), Homeopathy (2006 from the Homeopathy institute of Cataluña, Spain), Phytotherapy (2006 from the Spanish Association for Continuing Education in Health Sciences and Education, Jaén, Spain) and Animal Experimentation (2008 from Junta de Andalucía, Spain). Dr. Perez-Guisado Rosa also has no less than two Masters’ Degrees, one in Sport Medicine (obtained in 2006 from the Spanish Association for Continuing Education in Health Sciences and Education, Jaén, Spain) and the other in Pharmacovigilance and Postauthorization studies (which he qualified for in 2007 from the University of Sevilla, Spain). He finished the Medical Specialty of Reconstructive, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery (2013) at the University Hospital of Reina Sofia (Córdoba, Spain). Dr. Perez-Guisado Rosa has also undertaken many internships of Reconstructive, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery in the USA (spending three months in Birmingham, Alabama, 2010 and three months in Miami, Florida, in 2013); Chile (three months in Santiago de Chile in 2011); and Czech Republic (where he spent three months in Brno, 2012). He discovered and published the weight loss programme internationally known as the Ketogenic Mediterranean Diet, and he has also published 40 scientific articles, as well as 29 scientific communications, and has been guest speaker no less than nine times at prestigious events and conferences. His personal merits also form an impressive collection: National award to the best veterinary student record of Spain graduated from 1995-2000; first place in the election of the Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Speciality in the National Spanish Oppositions for Hospital Residents in Spain (Mir 2007); first prize for the best oral communication presented in the National Congress of the Spanish Society of Wounds (Madrid, February 2012); and first prize for the best oral communication presented in the Andalusian Congress of the Spanish Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (SACPRE, Jaén, November, 2012).
