International Finance Awards 2019
Acquisition International - 2019 International Finance Awards 23 PSG SIPP Ltd is an FCA authorised and regulated UK SIPP Operator, providing a client and adviser centric approach to SIPP administration through domestic and international SIPP products. We spoke to Marcus Forsey to learn more about the firm and the work they undertake. PSG SIPP Limited ince its inception in 2007, PSG SIPP has been creating innovative self-invested pensions designed to secure the futures of a variety of clients. Marcus discusses the firm’s clientele in more detail. “At PSG SIPP, we work with anyone who has accumulated UK pension funds and is looking to take advantage of the control and flexibility that comes with self-invested pensions. We like to build relationships with professional advisers so that we can help them to provide their clients with the best products, investments and service. “Currently our growth is being driven by overseas investors, but we are equally adept at meeting the objectives of entrepreneurs and business owners as well as anyone who wants as few compromises as possible when it comes to investments and drawing down benefits.” All of these clients are united by the fact that they work with an innovative pension investment solutions provider. Quality and client- service are central to PSG SIPP’s approach and have been since the beginning, as Marcus is proud to highlight. “Working with such a diverse range of clients, our mission is to always provide well-crafted pension products, backed up by a service that is increasingly hard to find in a market all but controlled by large, supermarket style, megafirms. One of the key elements of this is the culture we have nurtured since we first started our firm. We have a clear vision of our place in the industry and an understanding that this can only be achieved through a committed team who feel valued and respected. “Over the years little has changed in terms of our ethos, but we have had to contend with seismic changes in legislation, rapid growth and the need to constantly upgrade our infrastructure. This growth has offered us many exciting benefits, as we are better placed than ever to avoid compromising on our service or our internal culture and time has shown that our model is a sustainable one that has put us in an enviable position.” Aiming to change the industry for the better, PSG SIPP has worked hard to understand the issues facing the private pensions space and change them to better suit today’s consumers. This ambitious goal has been central to the firm’s work over the past decade. Marcus explains the market currently and how his firm is driving development for the benefit of a myriad of investors. “Private pensions have a long history of being one of those awkward taboo subjects in society. Everyone needs one for a healthy retirement but haven’t necessarily always understood them very S well. Consequently, us consumers tend to avoid putting too much attention on them for this reason. Much of the blame for this falls with the unnecessary jargon and ‘ill thought-out’ marketing campaigns and communications that our industry has become infamous for. At PSG SIPP we actively look to be a market disrupter, by making things more straightforward, refreshing, different and talking in a more relatable way. We try and make things more interesting and engaging through our brand and marketing efforts and we pay close attention to common misconceptions that people may have around pensions and try to debunk them. “Fortunately, in more recent times, pensions are getting more attention thanks in part to things like the workplace pensions initiative put in place by the government five years ago. More people are now beginning to think harder about their own pensions and so they are crying out for disrupters like us to talk to them in a way they understand. This is where we feel there is huge potential to win over entire generations of consumers that have been left in the dark for so long.” This disruptive approach will remain central to PSG SIPP’s strategy over the coming years, as Marcus concludes. “As a business PSG SIPP’s future revolves around innovation and development, as we seek to grow and prosper. Working to achieve our mission, we will continue to design and deploy arresting, counter- culture, methods to educate and communicate. Whilst few will ever claim pensions are an interesting topic, our aim is to change the perception of consumers and investors and help them to prepare for what lies in store.” Company: PSG SIPP Limited Name: Marcus Forsey Address: The Coach House, Box House, Bath Road, Box, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 8AA Telephone Number: +44 1249 280 020 Web Address: www.psgsipp.co.uk Best Pension Investment Solutions Provider - Southwest England
