Acquisition International - Issue 10 2019 27 Beginning his journey in 1973, Edward graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in 1977. A few years later in 1980, he attended the Emory University School of Law where he attained his Juris Doctor degree in 1983 and became a partner at Greene, Buckley, Jones & McQueen, heading up the employment division, where he remained for twenty years. In January 2002, Edward moved on to become a partner at Buckley and Klein, LLP, until February of 2014. Following a short hiatus, Edward then arrived as a managing partner for Buckley Beal LLC, where he now works as an employment and civil rights lawyer. Just some of the many professions Edward has represented include hotel laundry workers, truckers, salespeople, professors, longshoremen, CEOs, stockbrokers, doctors and lawyers. With a breadth of employment law experience across every area of law, Edward has won a variety of multi-million-dollar verdicts for employees suffering from race discrimination, gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and tort cases. He has also successfully served as an advocate for employees in mediations and arbitrations, handling appeals in the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in all state courts, appellate courts, federal district courts in the state of Georgia, as well as the United States Supreme Court.
