Nicole has been a part of ENGIE since 2010 and is currently a Senior Executive Adviser and Managing Director of the Operations and Performance of ENGIE’s Global Industrial Hub. Nicole is responsible for strengthening management, coordination and impact of ENGIE’s Global Industrial Hub which is made up of their 12 global departments within ENGIE (includes, Group Strategy, Research, Innovation, Enterprise Risk Management, Business Development Oversight, Asset Portfolio Operation and Performance etc.). The Global Industrial Hub aims to address the increasingly sophisticated and complex needs of clients through enhanced detection and management of technology and disruptive trends, identification of new businesses opportunities and models and expertise in operations. ENGIE has been instrumental as a point of global reference in low- carbon energy and services. Climate change continues to be an urgent and pressing matter on the world’s agenda and the firm’s goal is to become the world leader for helping businesses and local authorities reduce carbon emissions to zero. The firm remains more committed than ever to responsible growth of businesses that contribute to a zero-carbon economy. In order to do this, the company is developing highly innovative solutions in the fight against climate change thanks to its expertise across four key areas: natural and renewable gas, renewable electricity, energy efficiency and digital technologies. Nicole is one of the only professionals in the international energy and finance infrastructure industry to have worked in-house as a senior adviser to both ENGIE – one of the world’s largest global energy companies and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) - one of the world’s largest project finance lenders. Nicole also previously acted as the lead adviser and coordinator in the creation and implementation of a new green financial institution (Japan Carbon Finance) for the Ministry of Finance Japan and JBIC and has been appointed by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) to co-lead a global climate-change initiative and to various other industry advisory & corporate committees due to Nicole’s in-depth industry knowledge, stakeholder management skills and commercial acumen. Nicole has substantial experience in providing a complete advisory and project management form of service, in relation to global energy and infrastructure projects and operations. She is invited as a regular speaker at various global energy and sustainable finance conferences, including asked to speak as an industry expert at the “G20 - Global Infrastructure Meeting” and asked to be a keynote speaker at “Women in Technology Summit” with Microsoft last year.
