He is currently chair of the minimal access and robotics surgery group and is notably a leading specialist in UK for laparoscopic pancreaticobiliary surgery. Additionally, he has a major interest in clinical governance and medical negligence. He has undertaken a large volume of medico legal work related to surgery in general, laparoscopic surgery, bariatrics and personal injury. He is listed in the expert witness directory.
