Acquisition International - Issue 6 2018 37 Customer Service is Key to Infinity Partnership Growth Infinity’s commitment to staff training and development is also a central feature of the business strategy. Investment in IT solutions means staff can work from home and maintain access to client accounting software via cloud computing systems. Flexi-time is offered to all staff and is managed to accommodate school timetables and holiday periods; in short, to enable staff to achieve a work-life balance. Infinity Partnership supports regular staff training, covering accountancy qualifications such as ACCA (Certified Accountants), CMA (Chartered Management Accountants) and AAT (Association of Taxation Technicians). Currently seven staff are in training while, more broadly, Infinity Partnership has gained ACCA Employer status. While most of Infinity Partnership’s clients operate in, or are connected to, the oil and gas industry, the business also has clients in the professional services, legal, property and charity sectors – from Shetland in the north to Hastings in the south. Simon said: “It’s critical for us to understand what the client requires, both in the short-term and further down the line. The days of offering only traditional accountancy services are gone. We are much more of a strategic partner. We advise clients on head count, costs, investment partners, grants, R&D tax credit claims and much more.” Infinity’s focus is not just on its own business but also the wider community in which it operates. Client relations manager Greg Houston is on the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) regional panel and led the drive to revive the area’s annual dinner following the loss of a key sponsor. In addition, Infinity has raised more than £100,000 for the Renal Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for new dialysis units. Most of the money was raised at a gala event attended by over 300 people. Simon concludes with: “Working with industry organisations and supporting the community in which we operate are important commitments for everyone at Infinity. While as a business we must continue to develop and grow, we can at the same time ensure our clients are satisfied with our service and continue to recommend us to others. This, more than anything else, will ensure future success for Infinity Partnership.” “Working with industry organisations and supporting the community in which we operate are important commitments for everyone at Infinity. While as a business we must continue to develop and grow, we can at the same time ensure our clients are satisfied with our service and continue to recommend us to others.”
