The firm’s clients include insurance companies, banks or banking subsidiaries, IT and high-tech companies, industrial and commercial companies, medical associations, chambers of commerce and other public-sector companies. “Our lawyers have many years’ experience both in litigation and in non-litigious matters,” begins Markus, himself a seasoned lawyer having graduated from the University of Vienna in 1979. “Most of our lawyers have worked in international US firms and they all work in both English and in Ger-man.” Many of the firm’s lawyers also lecture at universities on various legal issues, both in Austria and abroad, for commercial and non- commercial organi¬sations. In addition, they have numerous German and English-language publications. Mr Andreewitch himself has held more than 200 lectures he is currently ranked as one of the leading and most experience IT-lawyers in Austria by Legal 500 and Chambers. Keeping it Personal S “In addition to our internal team, over the years we have built a competent and reliable net¬work of non-legal specialists, with whom we cooperate closely,” he adds. “This network includes tax ad-visors, management consultants and experts from various other fields (con¬struction, IT, tele¬com-munications etc.). We also maintain close contacts with law faculties and cooperate closely with law firms in Europe and in the US.” Andreewitch & Partner strives to achieve an efficient, economical and hands-on approach to the work it undertakes, while ob¬serv¬ing the highest standards of quality. “We seek to combine practical advice with a strong theoretical background in order to achieve the best results for our clients,” continues Markus. “We have also chosen to keep our firm size moderate and personal and the longstanding relationships with our clients show us that we have chosen the correct approach.” Andreewithc & Partner can accompany large companies as well as medium and small companies on their way through the legal landscape. In addition, the firm acts as a correspondence point for some European and American law firms. Mr Andreewitch’s main areas of expertise are IT law, telecoms law, IP rights and IT mediation and he cut his teeth in the industry by working as an associate with Barnes, Richardson & Colburn in Washington in 1980 and then with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in Brussels in 1981. “I enjoy working together with clients, solving legal problems and the development of business strategies and models together with our clients, as well as the many other challenges we face in our daily practice.
