Contact: Hassnain Raza Company: St Peter’s Spirits Web Address: www.stpetersspirits.com/about Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) drinks represent a fascinating and innovative development in the world of cannabis-infused products. The beverages deliver the psychoactive compound THC. Derived from marijuana, THC results in a milder, more gradual ‘high’ than smoking or vaping and is, of course, alcohol-free. Drinks come in a variety of flavours and styles, ranging from carbonated sodas and sparkling waters to fruit juices and teas. Seen as a more socially acceptable way for adults to experience the benefits of cannabis, THC drinks are fast gaining popularity. As a socially mindful beverage company, St Peter’s Spirits is committed to sustainable manufacturing methods. Using only the best quality plant-derived ingredients, the company donates a portion of all its revenues to charities in local communities. Currently, the company directs 1% of its gross profits to organisations in California that support those experiencing loneliness and isolation. With bases in California and Toronto, St Peter’s Spirits champions the use of recyclable materials and never uses plastic in its packaging. The company recently launched its line of refreshing tropical citrus Green Monké cannabis drinks in both locations. Its Green Monké Hemp Extract drink is available across the USA. The drinks are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and contain only 25 calories per can. Earlier this year, St Peter’s Spirits partnered with the renowned tea producer, Dilmah to bring a range of ethical and sustainable Cannabidiol (CBD) iced teas to market in the USA. Dilmah has been producing quality teas from its gardens in beautiful Sri Lanka since 1985. Looking after St Peter’s Spirits’ finances, Hassnain Raza is a certified public accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in international business. Before joining the company, Hassnain worked with several clients in the beverage industry including Nestlé and Heineken. Originating from Pakistan, Hassnain emigrated to Nassau in the Bahamas as part of his career with the international organisation, KPMG in 2006. In 2017, Hassnain moved again, this time to Canada. A member of the executive team at St Peter’s Spirits, Hassnain is a key player in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of this forward-thinking company. He says, “It’s of the utmost importance to understand current trends in the industry. By making sure we optimise our financial and operational processes and systems, we are well-placed to capitalise on new opportunities.” Identifying potential risk areas, Hassnain excels at creating strategies to minimise exposure and managing budgets to ensure the company remains agile. St Peter’s Spirits has recently formed a branding partnership between its Green Monké brand and skateboarder, model, and community organiser, Briana King. The move is sure to gain further exposure for Green Monké drinks in the cool, diverse communities of California and beyond. We’re excited to see what lies ahead for St Peter’s Spirits. Note: The effects of THC drinks depend on dosage and individual tolerance. THC drinks should be consumed responsibly and in line with local regulations and guidelines surrounding cannabis usage.
