Regal Food Products Group Plc was established in the heart of Yorkshire in 2010 to cater for the growing needs of the South Asian consumer. Although the company is relatively new, Regal Foods was established upon the foundation of 30 years’ experience in the bakery and confectionary sector.

With our experience, Regal Food Products Group Plc has in a very dynamic few years demonstrated the ability to establish huge growth in its UK market as a leading manufacturer of food products in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and also as a prominent importer, exporter and overseas distributor.

During this short space of time, acceptance of the brand has been firmly endorsed by major supermarket chains to promote the extensive range of Regal Foods’ products. Tesco, Asda-Walmart, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Netto, One Stop, Bestways, the Co-op Group, Booker Cash & Carry, and B&M Retail, along with some other well-known high street names, all carry our products. The brand has thus become well known and has established itself in record time throughout the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, our product range has grown rapidly as Regal Food’s has identified both ethnic demand and opportunities to complete gaps in the marketplace. The variety of products created has resulted in a comprehensive list of bakery specialities, savoury snacks, confectionary, spices, recipes, ready meals and fruit juices.

Alongside this, the brand has also seen an increase in popularity internationally with exports seeing a considerable increase. Exports are handled from the U.K. head office and include shipments to nearly all E.C. countries and Scandinavia as well as markets further afield such as the North Americas, the Middle East and South East Asia.

As for my experience, as previously mentioned I have been heavily involved in bakery and confectionary sector. Prior to my role at Regal, one of my biggest achievements was directing the turnaround and subsequent sale of Jesse Oldfield Bakeries, which positioned the company for profitable sale by Yorkshire Cottage Bakeries Group. Furthermore, as Sales Director of Yorkshire Cottage Bakeries Group, I achieved impressive sales growth with the multiple customers, growing annual sales from £4 million to £35 million. Moreover, I also secured and managed competitively critical relationships with all the major multiples customers as well as other world-class corporate customers, achieving a 100% retention ratio among major players in the UK Bakery industry.

As such, conceiving, developing and executing the strategies and initiatives that drive revenues, growth, competitive market positioning, profits and shareholder value is what I do best. Throughout my career in senior executive positions with the leaders in the food industry, I have earned a track-record of success in managing complex business initiatives, and achieving exceptional rather than expected results.

In terms of management style, I have been characterised as a corporate strategy expert and am credited with personal contributions to the top line and bottom line performance success. In this sense, I am highly skilled in visualising and then executing a plan and doing whatever it takes to deliver. I am driven by challenge and undaunted by obstacles, and am accustomed to and effective in high profile executive roles making high stakes decisions. Perhaps the best way to describe my style is as hands on and decisive yet flexible. Furthermore, I value and award creative thinking, initiative, teamwork, commitment and performance.

Although we take tremendous pride in our success to date, we are keen to never rest on our laurels. Success in the long term depends not just on our financial results but also how we behave. Our commitment to deliver what we promise over time is underpinned by a set of principles that help define how and where we do business, the people we recruit, and the products we sell.

Because we are here for the long-term, Regal Food Products Group Plc will not pursue short-term gain at the expense of long-term value, or chase market share at any price. People’s choices remain their choices we want to give them another option.
Moreover, understanding our customers’ needs today can also help us innovate for the future, to continue our success and further growth. A such, we will research the markets which will identify new opportunities, and we shall develop new products accordingly for all our authentic ranges.

Ultimately, we will continue to build upon the foundation of 30 years’ experience in the bakery and confectionary sector and augment our position in the market place. Regal Food Products Group Plc set itself a vision of being recognised throughout the world as a brand. Our work continues to realise this vision, and we believe we are well on the way to achieving our aim.
