<p>Macaw Recovery Network “Uniting People & Habitat for Macaws”<br />
Their charisma and intelligence, along with ongoing deforestation of their natural habitats, have been the downturn for parrots worldwide, making them the most endangered bird-group in the world!<br />
Working to protect the critically endangered Great Green Macaw’s, Yellow-naped Amazon Parrot, and Scarlet Macaw in Costa Rica, the Macaw Recovery Network (MRN) aims to boost these endangered parrot populations in the wild, safeguarding their habitat, and engaging and inspiring local communities in conservation efforts. Through their newest Conservation Ranger Program, MRN is combining all three goals! Local community members who lost their jobs due to the COVID-pandemic, are now involved in reforestation as well as studying these wild parrot populations.<br />
